Wednesday Aug 5, 2009

Two days back a female student in Pune state, at the Western part of India, succumbed to the deadly Swine Flu virus. There are over 600 confirmed cases of Swine Flu in India but this is the first case of casualty.
While the private hospital doctors insist that they have given the best of treatment possible, the government authorities are doing fire fighting and tightening the Swine Flu checking and prevention mechanism across government hospitals.
With the onset of monsoon season few weeks back, people are expecting Swine Flu to spread faster and become an Epidemic in India anytime. That could be really disastrous because , as per a WHO analysis conducted only two months back, India is covered with Swine Flu medicines only for 3% of the population.
