UN set for Swine Flu crisis talks
Posted by admin | Under Health Thursday Jun 11, 2009The Swine Flu is already at level 5 alert from UN for the last one month. In the last two weeks, the Swine Flu infections have been spreading too fast, and in Australia alone over 1200 new infections have been recorded, which is a four fold increase.
Australia becomes the largest Swine Flu infected nation outside North America, and more nations are reporting spreading of the virus. Hong Kong has now closed down all the primary schools in order to restrict the spreading of the virus in the country.
The UN council is planning a crisis meeting to decide on declaring the Swine Flu as pandemic. If done, it will be the first pandemic to be announced in the last four decades.
The last pandemic happened in 1968 , called Hong Kong Flu, which gobbled over one million people across the globe.
